You can expect to see a lot of election night
parties planned for November, but don’t expect to see Congressman Jim
Clyburn at any of them. In the Know says, “Many lawmakers and political
operatives view Election Day as a big party, especially if their team
comes up big. But Rep. Clyburn (D-S.C.) is not one of them.
Clyburn prefers to be alone on election night, he told ITK earlier this
year. “I always watch election returns in private,” he said. He
explained that even when he’s home, he goes into another room, shuts the
door and doesn’t take calls. More from the Hill’s In the Know.
