First Lady Michelle Obama’s trip to the theater over the weekend was interrupted thanks to an ill-advised joke. The Post reports, “Mrs. Obama and daughters were on their way to see “Spiderman, Turn Off the Dark” at the Foxwoods Theater in Times Square when a man threatened to “blow up” the place if he didn’t like the show. “If the show’s no good, I’m going to blow it up,” the unidentified patron said as Secret Service agents were screening the theater before the start of the matinee. Obama and her girls were still in their motorcade after a brunch fund-raiser in Pocantico Hills in Westchester, headed to Midtown, when the "threat'' was made. Agents “just slowed [the motorcade] down” to allow more time for a full security sweep before they arrived, the source said, adding that the First Lady was not affected by the stunt.” More from the New York Post.
