New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was dressed as Spiderman this weekend, soaring across a theater stage, all in the name of charity. He was dangled from the ceiling at Saturday's Inner Circle Charity Dinner and staying true to Spiderman's Broadway reputation, he got stuck trying to land.
Music stars are apologizing for concerts they've done in the past for hosts whom may have been affiliated with Libyan dictator, Mommar Gadhfi. Nelly Furtado announced earlier this week she's giving her $1 million fee to charity. Beyonce said she'd donated her check from an '09 concert as soon as she discovered the connection. Meanwhile, in a statement on her website, Mariah Carey said she was "naive and unaware" of just exactly who her 2008 performance was for, and called on other artists to take "responsibility regardless of who books our shows."
There are certain channels and shows that I consider to be constant political-free zones and Bravo’s Real Housewives series is one of them. So you can imagine my surprise when during Tuesday night’s episode of the Miami edition, I spotted a familiar face—former Florida Governor Charlie Crist, but while the show was filming, Crist was the current Governor of the state. He and his wife Carole make a quick on-camera appearance at a gala hosted by one of the housewives. After doing a little digging, turns out the former Florida Governor has more than one connection to the Bravo franchise. Over the summer, the then-Florida governor and senatorial candidate stayed with New York Housewife Jill Zarin in the Hamptons meeting with environmentalists and campaigning.
Rahm Emanuel’s Twitter imposter has finally revealed himself! Just a week after Emanuel won the election in the Windy City, the man behind the fake Twitter persona has come forward to The Atlantic. His name: Dan Sinker, and he's the founder of the now defunct Punk Planet magazine. He says he can't really remember why he created the Twitter handle, except thinking that "this might be kind of funny." But after a while his fake persona began to take a toll. "The train rides became totally paranoia-inducing by the end. I would think, 'Is anybody watching this? Why is that guy looking at my phone?” Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Emanuel, says the mayor-elect will keep his promise to donate money to the charity of Sinker's choice. More from Politico’s Click.
After ABC announced the cast for the next season of "Dancing with the Stars," her ChristinePAC sent this email to supporters late last night:“I’m honored to have been invited to participate in one of the few uplifting TV shows out there.
