It’s hard to believe that 2010 is halfway over (or only six months in if your glass is half full), but Politico is commemorating the occasion with the worst campaigns of this midterm election year. They write, “Here's POLITICO's list of this year's biggest flops, to date: the candidates who remind us that while the race isn't always to the swift, it is usually to the pol who doesn't actively sabotage his or her own campaign.” Making the cut, Nevada Senate GOP candidate Sue Lowden thanks in part to her chickens for checkups comment. Senator Arlen Specter’s reelection bid and Florida Governor Charlie Crist’s campaign for Senate also make the cut.
