Rob Lowe has always been a pretty popular casting choice for political flicks and drama. He's played a White House press secretary and a Senator on TV, now actor Lowe is looking to make a reality show about real Washingtonians. Politico’s blogging, “Lowe has signed on to produce "Potomac Fever," a show that "will center on real-life aspiring politicos as they look to move up the ranks of power in the nation's capital," The "West Wing" star told Variety that he's "always had an affinity for the adventures of young Washingtonians" and looks forward to "[telling] their stories." No word on who will comprise the cast, but as part of the cast selection process, a variety of applicants were taped last September mingling at a cocktail reception at the City Tavern Club and partying at K Street lounge Lima.
