Fred Thompson’a Law and Order gig may have gotten canceled, but you can still catch him on TV. An ad with Thompson as the latest celebrity spokesman for AAG reverse mortgages has been running for a few days now. Politico’s Ben Smith says, “We aren't in J.D. Hayworth territory here -- reverse mortgages are ordinary, accepted financial tools -- but a reader notes that Fred Thompson is also in the business of representing obscure financial firms on cable television.” He’s been an official spokesman for the company since early May.
