CNN yesterday released a story on the public response to President Obama’s Tuesday night address to the nation. The story’s getting a lot of attention on the blogs thanks to one person’s language analysis of the President’s speech. They write, “Obama's speech may have gone over the heads of many in his audience, according to an analysis of the 18-minute talk released Wednesday by Paul Payack, president of Global Language Monitor. Tuesday night's speech from the Oval Office of the White House was written to a 9.8 grade level, said Payack.” Blogs from Wonkette to Mediaite to the Raw Story all picked up on the tidbit. It was even subject of the Colbert Report last night.
