Tennessee Lieutenant Governor, Ron Ramsey, may want to listen to his gut before making controversial remarks next time. H was asked whether President Obama is foreign-born or a natural born citizen of the U.S. during a Q&A session in Nashville. Ramsey said, " ... I've got a tableful of advisers sitting over there and they'll probably start cringing right about now when I start talking about some of this stuff right here. ... I'm going to tell you something. I don't know whether President Obama is a citizen of the United States or not. I don't know what the whole deal is there." Salon's War Room says let this be a lesson to other politicians. They’re blogging, “If you're about to say something terminally stupid, and before you do so you have enough presence of mind to pause and realize it's stupid and that your advisors are going to kill you for saying it, maybe you should, you know, just not continue.”
And, Cosmopolitan’s given up hope on getting Senator Scott Brown to strip down. Editor in Chief Kate White says Indiana Senator Evan Bayh is their second choice for Senator-in-the-buff. The Washington Scene says, "Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.) responded Tuesday to Cosmopolitan magazine editor Kate White's invitation to pose nude for the ladies mag. "I’m all for full disclosure, but not the full monty," he joked to ITK.
Explaining why her readers would like to see Bayh in the buff, White said, "We think he's hot in a natural, low-key, Midwestern sort of way, and while he seems stuck in the typical red tie rut, we're happy to see that at least his hair isn't pasted down in the standard Senate stay-press style."
